Annual 4th of July Summer Party

Over delicious pulled pork sandwiches and corn on the cob we had a blast celebrating 4th of July in the beautiful courtyard of Reid Hall.

Special Happy Hour with Journalist Rym Momtaz

Nestled in the picturesque gardens of Reid Hall with a chilled glass of rosé in hand we welcomed the vivacious Rym Momtaz, Politico Europe’s Senior Correspondent, France for a special Happy Hour to end the Club season with a bang. From her 8-year tenure at ABC News and her 2-year hiatus as Special Assistant to the Lebanese Ambassador to the UN, to her current assignment at POLITICO France, Rym gave us an intimate look into politics near and far.

Spring Garden Party, Cercle de l'Union Interalliée

On a balmy late Spring evening over 100 old and new friends gathered around the sparkling fountain in the Cercle de l’Union Interalliée gardens, sipping champagne and listening to the cool sounds of live jazz. Never did we think that being reunited again in person would feel THIS good!

Historian Dr. Craig Lanier Allen

A first-hand look at what it must feel like to be a spy, renowned fellow Dr. Allen took us on an undercover exploration of American and French intelligence operations targeting communities of American writers living in postwar Paris! A fascinating subject at the center of his dissertation “Spies Spying on Spies Spying: The Specter of Surveillance in Postwar American Literary Expatriate Paris”. Contact us for a copy.

Virtual conversation with Dr. Robert Horsch

In a thought-provoking discussion with former Deputy Director, Agricultural R&D at the Gates Foundation, Dr. Horsch and ACP Board Member Robert Paley candidly spoke about the impact of the world’s population growth rate, food shortages and the role of world leaders in addressing these pressing issues.


Art, Soul & Destiny: American artist Jill Steenhuis

American artist Jill Steenhuis took us on a magnificent (virtual) journey to the south of France, where inspired by Cezanne and Van Gogh she brings to life the picturesque countryside around her hometown of Aix-en-Provence, where “Art, Soul and Destiny … waltz together expressing a new poetry on the canvas.”

Virtual Happy Hour: Saint Patrick's Day Edition

Double the luck as we joined forces with the American Club of Brussels for an incredibly fun night of green cocktails, lots of glitter and a scavenger hunt.

Thanksgiving Partnership with Restaurants Zia & Milagro

While nothing could ever replace our famous Thanksgiving Gala at the Musée de la Chasse, we were delighted to partner with American chef Justin Kent, at the helm of two restaurants in the 7th arrondissement, Zia and Milagro. We delivered over 60 delicious Thanksgiving dinners to our members and friends.

A mere five days before the long anticipated US presidential election, "We Got the Red Blues" listening to author and journalist Anne-Elisabeth Moutet share her European point of view on the election, the probable outcome and its impact on Europe and the world.





Virtual Happy Hour

Even confinement cannot keep us from the cherished tradition of our monthly Happy Hour so we turned it into a Zoom and enjoyed seeing new and old (unmasked) friends for an evening of uplifting conversations and virtual clinking of glasses.

A captivating and very civilized debate ahead of the US presidential election featuring Ada Shen, National Chair of Democrats Abroad and George Yates, Vice-President of Republicans Overseas, moderated by Jessica Feldman, Assistant Professor in Global Communications at the American University of Paris.

Annual La Rentrée Cocktail

On a warm summer evening we kicked off the new Club season on the beautiful terrace of the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée, bringing together over 70 members and friends for an unforgettable evening of fun, laughter, catching up, and celebration of simply being together again.
