Please join us for a virtual conversation with our Vice-President Barbara Levi as she interviews this renowned French concert pianist and one of the greatest performers of Chopin's music in the world about his childhood and piano education, his life as a pianist and professor and how Covid-19 has affected musicians and the music industry.
The event will close with a private performance.

A true "poet", with Chopin as his favorite verse!! Schumann, Granados, Poulenc, without forgetting Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach!! The list is endless and they all owe him something, as his interpretations of their works have reinvented their own.
Jean-Marc Luisada studied piano at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London before attending the National Conservatory of Music in Paris where he graduated with distinction. He launched his exceptional concert career in 1981, playing in prestigious venues such as the Théatre des Champs Elysées in Paris, the Alice Tully Hall in New York, London's Wigmore Hall, and the Satory Hall in Tokyo. He is often invited to to the most renowned French and International music festivals, touring across Europe, North America and Asia and has worked with many of the great Masters in his field. Jean-Marc has received some of the most prestigious prizes awarded to pianists and composers, including the Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
In addition to his concert activities, Jean-Marc Luisada teaches at the Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris. He has recorded numerous CD's, among them, Chopin's Waltzes and Mazurkas, as well as the composer's concerto in E minor in its original version featuring the Talich Quartet. His last album released in 2018 is devoted to Robert Schumann and received laudatory reviews.
